Job purpose: 


Legal Manager shall ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of coordinating legal procedures with Attorney at Law, liaise with the Project Manager/General Manager to execute the legal advices, ensure effective implementation of the legal actions, process the legal documents to the court, ministry of interior, and other authorities when necessary. Legal Manager shall directly report to Assistant to Managing Director and perform other tasks as per assigned.

JOBS DESCRIPTION:
  • Coordinate legal procedures with the attorney including document preparation, letter/announcement preparation, client stakeholder’s appointments, legal advice analysis, root cause analysis, and detailed problem investigation.
  • Work with the Project Manager/GM to execute the legal advice, ensure effective implementation of the legal actions, give feedback to the attorney and management, and follow up the cases.
  • Work closely with relevant divisions, ask for business conceptual advice, and seek for management responses; and consolidate the legal and business advice into an effective formula and propose to top management for implementation.
  • Process the legal documents to the court, ministry of interior, and other authorities when necessary.
  • Assist in preparing and/or reviewing commercial contracts including, but not limited to, purchase agreements, contractor's agreements, bidding documents, service provision contracts, etc.
  • Review the legal risks involved in various business deals and share the same with the management.
  • Review the existing legal cases and review contracts and agreements to ensure they comply with the legal rules and resolve outstanding cases within the organization.
  • Effectively handle and resolve various legal matters after understanding the customers/clients’ cases including, negotiation and bargain on various types of agreements, contracts and make sure that terms and conditions are ensured the company’s or projects’ interest and effectively implemented by the other parties of the agreements/contracts.
  • Assist in writing/issuing official litigation letters to ensure updated information/litigation letters are reached out to customers/clients when necessary.
  • Assist in checking the marketing contents, marketing and promotional video scripts, and business information that shall be posted on social media or business if necessary.
  • Train, coach and discipline staff under management and/or assist with line manager to monitor all related 
  • training and development plans to relevant department to ensure legal litigation is up to date when necessary.
  • Perform other tasks as per assigned by Assistant to Managing Director

JOB REQUIREMENT:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master of Private/Public Laws, Administration, or another related fields.
  • Proven at least 4 years’ experience in legal compliance, contract management and debt problem-solving.
  • Possess strong knowledge in Civil Law, Criminal Law, Cambodian Labor Law, Court
  •  Administration System, Legal procedure, Legal Compliance other rules and regulations etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with peers, managers, and clients
  • Demonstrate ability to influence people such as stakeholders, tenants, and employees
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication, diplomatic and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with personnel from all levels.
  • Tact and the ability to deal with difficult situations.
  • Empathetic individuals with great interpersonal skill
